For the Distinguished Program, in addition to the course work listed above, four Advanced Measures must be completed.  Advanced measures are those items that meet the two standards included in 19 TAC sec. 75.152:  They reflect student performance at a college or professional level, and the products are assessed by external evaluators.

 

Senior students are allowed to take 6 credits; all other students must be enrolled in 7 classes.  Students and parents, who require additional assistance, please see the counselor.

 
 
IMPORTANT CHANGE

 
Beginning with the 2007-2008 school years, a student entering ninth grade
will be affected by the new state graduation requirements for the Recommended Program and the Distinguished Achievement (Advanced) Program.  To graduate under either of these programs, an incoming ninth grade student will have to earn an additional credit in math and additional credit in science.  The credit requirements for the various programs for students entering the ninth grade during this school year are provided below:
